Managing Partner & CIO

Meet Max Mueller

Transform Your Business Success Into Enduring Personal Wealth.

Max Mueller

Max Mueller is the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Mueller Wealth Advisors, a boutique advisory firm focused on high-net-worth entrepreneurs, physicians, and business owners.

With over 15 years of experience across HSBC, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and JPMorgan Chase & Co., Max brings both institutional discipline and real-world perspective to client portfolios. During his time on Wall Street, he worked with private client portfolios exceeding $2.5 million and institutional mandates over $100 million, and was involved in the development and listing of a fixed-income ETF on the NYSE.

At Mueller Wealth Advisors, Max leads the firm’s investment strategy and chairs the internal research committee, where every decision is evaluated through a fundamental, technical, and macro lens.

He works with a select group of clients who have already built successful businesses and now require their capital to perform at the same level. Portfolios are structured around a disciplined core—designed for stability, liquidity, and long-term compounding—while selectively deploying tactical mandates where dislocations, asymmetric opportunities, or sector-specific tailwinds justify taking risk.

The objective is not passive participation in markets. It is to allocate capital with intent—protecting it when conditions demand discipline, and pressing for returns when the opportunity set is favorable.

I study markets constantly and position capital where risk and opportunity are aligned. Every allocation is made with defined parameters—understanding both the upside and where the position no longer makes sense. Risk management is not reactive; it is built into every decision.

Director of Insurance

Meet Chris Frazier

I enjoy serving others and sharing how our advanced case design emphasizes the living benefits of life insurance.

Chris Frazier

Chris Frazier is the Director of Insurance at Mueller Wealth Advisors, where he focuses on the design and implementation of life insurance strategies for high-net-worth individuals and business owners.

With over 20 years of experience, Chris has placed more than $500 million in coverage across leading carriers including Penn Mutual, Pacific Life, and Allianz. His work is centered on designing policies that align with a client’s financial profile, cash flow, and long-term objectives.

Chris works across a range of planning areas including fixed insurance, non-qualified deferred compensation, defined benefit and cash balance plans, and advanced strategies such as estate planning, premium financing, and executive benefit design. He is also frequently engaged to review and improve existing policies that were poorly designed or no longer aligned with a client’s needs.

A native Texan, Chris has been based in Austin since 1999. Outside of work, he is a husband and father of three, and enjoys golf, pickleball, hunting, and fishing.

Business owners and entrepreneurs are uniquely positioned to benefit from properly structured life insurance. My focus is making sure those strategies evolve with the business—from growth, to maturity, to exit—and ultimately into personal retirement.

Financial Advisor

Meet Britni Wilson

Every position deserves the same depth of analysis institutional capital demands.

Britni Wilson

Britni Wilson is a Financial Advisor at Mueller Wealth Advisors, where she brings the discipline of institutional credit analysis to client portfolios, with emphasis on fundamental research, valuation, and risk assessment across credit, equities, and real estate.

With over 15 years of experience spanning Citigroup, Marbella Interests, and Whitebox Advisors, Britni began her career at Citigroup in New York covering high yield debt, leveraged loans, and credit default swaps on the sales and trading desk. She later served as Vice President of Acquisitions and Investments at Marbella Interests, a single family office in Austin, where she underwrote more than 100 opportunities and closed approximately $100 million of direct commercial real estate transactions.

Most recently, as a Credit Analyst at Whitebox Advisors, she analyzed more than 100 credit investments across Retail, Consumer, Business Services, Tech, and Leisure—identifying mispriced securities and delivering investment recommendations directly to portfolio managers and the investment committee. Every position is evaluated through the same standard applied to institutional capital: where the security is mispriced, where the downside is defined, and where the risk-reward justifies the allocation.

The best returns come from doing the work others won’t. I focus on understanding the full picture of every position—the financials, the capital structure, the catalysts, and the downside—before capital is committed. Disciplined analysis is what protects the portfolio and creates the conditions for outsized returns.
